Pattie's Creations Challenge #91 Mother's Day
Today I would like to share my DT card for Patties Creations. Challenge #91 The theme is Mother's day. One of the interesting things about being on an international team is that we celebrate mothers day not only on a different date but a different month too. In the UK we have mothers day in March and this coming Sunday is mothering Sunday in the USA. Please pop over to the Pattie's Creations Challenge blog to take a peek at the gorgeous creations made to inspire you, by my very talented team mates. The rules are simple you must use a stamped image that can be digital or traditional. We obviously would like you to use one of pattie's beautiful images from her etsy shop, but others are allowed. You can enter a max of 2 projects. Full list of rules can be found here.
Materials Used.
Super smooth white card , printing onto this gives you the perfect surface to color a digital image, with Alcohol pens.
The image i used is Pansies In Pitcher by Pattie's Creations.
I cut the plate card, stand, tag and flowers on my Silhouette Cameo from white card. I then colored them with promarkers to match the image.
Promarkers vanilla, primrose, lemon, bright green, plum, mulberry, aubergine, purple, amethyst, orchid, lavender, lilac, violet and Prussian blue.
Chaalenges Entered.
Crafting for all seasons. Challenge #76 theme is lots of layers. They have stitchy bear outlet as their sponsor.
Woopsie Daisy Challenge. The theme is a hand colored image. Now come on girls that must tempt you ? go amd take a peek at all the inspirations, you know you want to.
A Little Bit Crafty. The theme this time is Flower Power.I love making my own embellishment. They have 3 sponsors Bugaboo stamps, Marianne designs and Crafts 4 eternity.
Bearly Mine Inspiration Challenge. The theme this time is flowers. They have an added sponsor this time themselves Bearly mine designs and Marianne Designs.Pop over and see the lovely projects by their team.
Crafts Galore Encore . Mays challenge has an any thing goes theme. They are sponsored by Blue Moon Creations. Gorgeous cards to inspire you from the DT.
Connie Can Crop. Challenge #22 has a mothers day all about mum theme. They would like to see lots of flowers. I think i have filled the drief. Many more on my card and i could start the hay-fever off .
There is a great prize up for grabs too. A set of 'Sweet' themed stamps by Pink and Main. The challenge runs for the whole of may.
Faires Challenge Blog. Challenge #25 has the theme of Mum / Mother. I am taking this as mother's day or a card or project for your mum. They have 2 sponsors Sammi Stamps and Star in my Pocket. some lovely inspiration from their team.
I hope you like my card and tag. Please pop over to the Pattie's creation blog and join our current challenge, as i look forward to seeing your mum themed cards. Crafty hugs until next time Julie Ann x

I just love those pansies!!! Now if only I could grow the real ones....UGH - Yes, I have a black thumb...I've even killed marigolds and I didn't think that was possible! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you Zella. I am a bit of a garden numpty. We have a very small garden. Were we live every one only has a patio. I think its because we live a short walk to the beach. I blame the sit air when the flower baskets die. Hugs Julie Ann x

DeleteInteresting point about Mother's Day being different months in different countries Julie-Ann. I guess we should all really be giving our Mother's (and Mother Substitutes) cards every month really. You did a fab job with this image - it is one of my favorite Pattie's Creations images (the toaster is still my favorite). Love the extra flowers you added on the sides too. Hugz!

DeleteActually, Mother's Day in Canada, the US and several other countries is held next Sunday on the 11th, not this one. It is traditionally always the second Sunday in May in many parts of the world. Although it will be Mother's Day this coming Sunday for people living in Portugal, Spain, Hungary and a few other locations. It is interesting how it is on different dates throughout the year in other countries. Interestingly, July and September are the only months of the year that you DON'T find a country or two celebrating Mother's Day. Love the variation in this world of ours and it was only when I started my blog did I take the time to start seeking these things out.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cool card and stand. Love the additional pansies around the edges. Wonderful job Julie-Ann!
