winning challenges with Digi Stamps 4 Joy images

Good morning crafty friends, just wanted to share some good news. I have been 1 of the winners at 2 challenges both with images by Digi Stamps 4 Joy.

Glitter n Sparkle challenge #78 Mother's day

Happy Mothering Sunday to all my blogging friends. Today is the start of a new challenge at Glitter n Sparkle, our theme is mothers day or a card for your mum.This card is a lot nicer in real life for some reason it has not photographed well. Digi stamps 4 joy Christmas challenge

Hello, look what i have just found hiding in my draft folder. I made this Christmas card about a week ago. At DS4J we are having a monthly Christmas, one for each month throw 2014.The challenge is being run by my team mate Desire.

Patties Creations Design Team

 "Babies, Babies, Babies Every Were"
Hello, little old me again with lots of things and a card to share with you this afternoon. Can you remember a couple of weeks ago i shared a baby card, and that i was feeling a little old as my children's friends all seem to be having babies. Emily's best friend Sophie and her husband have had their baby. A very cute little chap called Alfie-James. I knew i had to get a couple of baby cards as lots of babies due before Easter. On my travels for gorgeous Digital images i came across a little etsy shop called Pattie's Creations. I found a perfect image but the baby was wearing a Santa hat. I ping over an image to Pattie on the off chance she had any thing similar. I received a lovely message offering to draw me another with out the hat. Excellent customer service you have to agree. To cut a very long story short Pattie and I hit it off and I am know on her design team. I am so honored to be on a team with such talented designers. New Release Sunday @ Digi Stamps 4 Joy



I would like to share with you a card I made with one of the new releases at Digi Stamps 4 Joy this week. I count my self very lucky to be on the DS4J design team. Materials used

Solid card stock in white and olive green
0.3 black micron pen , which i used to doodle the back ground.
Go-kreate square fancy label metal die.

Promarkers pear green, olive green, tea rose, dusty rose,dusty pink,light fawn, sandstone, burnt sienna, tan,cinnamon and caramel
 to doodle i start in the middle and go with the flow. It normally takes 2 or 3 attempts before i am happy. Been practicing as i would like to do some zentangle.

My DT Card Glitter n Sparkle challenge #77

Good morning, Sunday is here once more which means it is a new challenge at Glitter n Sparkle. I would like to share my design team card for challenge #77 the theme is use some blue.Please pop over and see the beautiful creations made by my fellow design team members.
Materials used.

The image is called life is sweeter by QKR Stampede, I was a lucky girl to be given this as a freebie as they are one of our sponsors this week.
Decorative papers are by Debbi Moore a down load from her web site. I printed one at A4 and another one i reduced to A5 to give a different look.
2 shades of blue solid card stock both by American Crafts.
Flowers and leaves are both rubber stamps. From the Ivy collection by Creative Expressions. I believe it was one that Sheena Douglas designed for them when she worked there.

Digi Stamps 4 Joy Challenge #88 Vintage

Today i would like to share my design team card for challenge #88 at Digi Stamps 4 Joy. This challenge is being hoisted by Annie and she has chosen the fab theme vintage.
I have had quite a bit of fun making this card. Vintage has so many options from dark and grungy to steam punk or as i have done textured and pretty shabby chic. So please what ever your style come and see the beautiful cards my team mates have made, and hopefully they will inspire you to join in. I will give this card to my oldest daughter who likes to write letters and has a pen-pal.

I used my sewing machine to sew the backing papers, ribbon and lace to the card.I wanted to do some paper piercing so i printed the image on super smooth cream card then onto some co-coordinating backing papers.

Up Up and Away

Today i would like to share a card i have made with a image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy. It is quite a new release by the store owner Margy, of a house being lifted by a hot air balloon. I love the image but i wanted to have a good play. It would have been easy to use the image as a new home card. I wanted to have a play at other styles out side of my normal comfort zone. Would love to now what you think, the card turned out more is more. I made some lovely backing papers by stamping and embossing over. The only thing i would change is that i covered over one of them so you can hardly see it.
Materials
I made an easel card from an A3 piece of black card.
A sheet of A3 white card.
Main image is called a home in the sky by DS4J
Ticket rubber stamp and some of the sentiments by Stamping all day
The backing papers were made using matching stamps and embossing papers by Hero arts and Sizzix
Some of the embellishments were made by using matching stamps and dies by Hero arts and Sizzix.
Colored with a combination of distress inks and promarkers.

Crafty Catz Challenge #222. The theme is boys and their toys. We have friends who are involved in hot-air balloon racing. They travel round the UK at weekends to take part. Good morning, I had forgotten to tell you one of my cards were placed at Cardz 4 Guyz. I came 2nd with the the image Lake Malawi by Margy at Digi Stamps 4 joy .  I am so chuffed to bits. Digi Stamps 4 Joy new release take 2.

Hello thank you for popping bye. Digi stamps 4 joy have a new release most Sunday. Today there are 4.I have been lucky to play with the new digi stamps before release. I have made a card which i would like to share with you. The image is of a spring flower bed.

Digi Stamps 4 Joy new release Sunday

Hello I am back again..only running 12 hours late..Normally I get my posts done in draft and then get up early to publish them. I am a confirmed computer numpty.I will have to learn how to schedule, Yesterday was beautiful on the south coast and i have played nurse all week so decided to pop out with my grandson Mr Charlie. We went to the historic dockyard in Portsmouth to visit the new Mary rose museum. It was amazing, Charlie is only 6 but he enjoyed it as much as me. That is why i am late with today's postings, so please forgive me.

Baby, Baby Baby The First Of Many

Today i would like to share a baby card i have made for one of my sons, whose friend from work has just had a baby boy. There must be some thing in the water on the south coast as there is about to be several new arrivals over the next few weeks. Emily's friend from work had a little girl 2 weeks ago and her best friend Sophie is due the coming week. Then Charlies mum and her partner are expecting a little girl at the end of the month.

New Release Sunday At Digi Stamps 4 Joy

Well it is Sunday once more, were does the time go. At Digi Stamps 4 Joy it is new release Sunday.Margy the shop owner has designed 4 new digital stamps. She never fails to impress with such elegant classy and craft-able designs. I was so lucky given the chance to make a card with the vintage Austin design. There is a great story behind this. Margy's dad restored this card from a decapitated falling to bits piece of junk to a beautiful car.

Method
I printed the car image on printable acetate. Once it was out of the printer i used Melt Dust by MCS and heat embossed. The ink would not have dried if i had not embossed or hear set.I then put a sheet of double sided sticky on the reverse. I then applied gilding flakes. This was my first attempted at gilding and i am quite pleased. Can not say the same of my cats as they are very sparkly,

My DT Card Glitter N Sparkle Challenge #74

Its A wet and windy day on the south coat. I can here you shout WHATS NEW!. To bright up my day i have been playing in my craft room. I have found it difficult to take good photographs of my crafty bits i have made, due to the lack of natural day light. I am going to try making a light box i will let you know how it goes. Any tips you have to share will be gratefully received
Today is the start of a new challenge#74 at Glitter N Sparkle, the theme is add a sentiment..I was given the image of  Kitty Paw Vulture by the digital stamp company The stamping Chef.  We have some great sponsor who are offering superb prize, our sponsors are Digi Darla's,Flourish with a bling,Patties Creations and the stamping chef.
