The new tattered lace collection Melding was released at CHA in America last week end. This is the largest trade show in the world where craft company's go to show their products for the coming year. It was so exciting to be involved with the samples that Stephanie Weightman the designer for Tattered Lace, and Nancy Watt the editor of the Tattered Lace Magazine took out there with them. The Melding collection is a new concept in card marking that you can choose to leave in the card or add the demi frame and cut out an aperture. There are some complimentary dies that coordinate with The Melding collection and I have chosen the
Blossoming Butterfly Die to make todays card.
Recipe
Supper Smooth 300gsm card, this is perfect to use with alcohol markers. I always use it if I intend to colour my die cuts. I buy it from Crafting.co.uk.
Solid coloured card stock is the
Shades Ombre A4 card pads. These pads take the guess work out of colour matching. I used the Rose pad.
Promarkers Blush, Tea Rose, Dusky Rose, Dusky Pink, Putty, Pastel Green, Tea Green, Grey Green.
Stephanie designs tattered lace dies with snip ability, which makes the dies so versatile. I hope you can see from the small pictures how I cut out the design in supper smooth card then I colour them with Promarkers. I then place on my card to see what sort of composition that will sit well on my card design. I like to snip sections out and make my own decoupage. As the die cuts are so delicate I would recommend you use a glue jell when layering up, as this type of adhesive dry's clear.
