Up Up and Away

Today i would like to share a card i have made with a image from Digi Stamps 4 Joy. It is quite a new release by the store owner Margy, of a house being lifted by a hot air balloon. I love the image but i wanted to have a good play. It would have been easy to use the image as a new home card. I wanted to have a play at other styles out side of my normal comfort zone. Would love to now what you think, the card turned out more is more. I made some lovely backing papers by stamping and embossing over. The only thing i would change is that i covered over one of them so you can hardly see it.
Materials
I made an easel card from an A3 piece of black card.
A sheet of A3 white card.
Main image is called a home in the sky by DS4J
Ticket rubber stamp and some of the sentiments by Stamping all day
The backing papers were made using matching stamps and embossing papers by Hero arts and Sizzix
Some of the embellishments were made by using matching stamps and dies by Hero arts and Sizzix.
Colored with a combination of distress inks and promarkers.

Challenges entered.
Crafty Catz Challenge #222. The theme is boys and their toys. We have friends who are involved in hot-air balloon racing. They travel round the UK at weekends to take part. As You Like It Challenge. The theme is Favorite coloring medium and why. Well i could be here for the next 2 hours making a list of the coloring medium i like to you. One this card i used mostly distress inks, the god Tim holtz and his distress range is amazing. I did use a couple of promarkers to give a little definition to the roof of the house. They have been sponsored by Penrith Crafts, some fab inspiration by the DT Team.
Hope i inspire you to pop over to these challenges share the love and join in. Crafty hugs until next time Julie Ann x
